About this DJ

Born 3rd August 1970 in New ham London. Moved to Nigeria with parents at age 10. Attended Trinity Arts Academy in Lagos Nigeria before relocating to London in 1987 A graduate in computer science and management.

Career Profile: Fell in love with the art of djing in 1988 after seeing Dj Carl Cox played with three turntables at the second summer of love concert that same year I got my first citronic thames 11 twin turntable decks and started learning how to dj. The next two years I was attending all the house music raves in London including all nations club in hackney while mastering the art of disk jockey, I started playing at house parties and local pubs in east London.

In 1990 I attended Tim Westwood's show at the northing hill carnival in London. My encounter with Tim Westwood further galvanised my interest in djing even though I already had over two year's exposure in dance and house music playing tunes by Frankie Knuckles' and Jamie Principle, hip hop music became part of me and also reggae music inspired by David Rodigan.

In 1992 I set up my sound system called playground sound system which later became playground entertainment in 2001 during this period I had been resident dj at sensations night club in Stratford and three rabbits pub in east London. Between working as a part time dj I also took time to study for a degree in computer science and management at east London University and Canterbury Christ church university.

I am currently working full time as assistant IT Manager at Cardiff and Vale college in Barry south wales and also resident Dj every Saturday at Fizz wine bar in Barry south wales, in addition I also Dj at psv lounge in hackney east London every last Friday of the month.

My interest as a disk jockey has been influenced mainly by the likes of Tim Westwood, Dj Carl Cox, Pete Tong, Trevor Nelson and David Rodigan. I will describe myself as outgoing, versatile and hard working. My music genre includes hip hop, r&b, dance music, techno house, reggae, dancehall and afro hip hop.

Although I am yet to release an album of my own, I have over the years done a lot of mixes ranging from dance music to r&b, hip hop and African hip life a type of hip hop genre made popular in Ghana and played mostly in Afro Caribbean clubs. I have mostly worked as a part time do at the same time holding down my professional career in information technology. However my IT back ground has also helped in understanding the art of digital disk jockey.

Personal Interest: When am not playing music or listening to music I enjoy travelling, movies, reading and playing computer games.

My All-time favorite artists and groups: James Brown, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, The Whispers, Skyy, Midnight Starr, Cameo, C&C music factory, New Edition, Akon, LL Cool J, Jay-z , Pitbull Chris Brown, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, R. Kelly, Sean Paul, Bennie Man, and Usher.
